Limited Edition Icon - The Pub Blazer
This jacket is the product of a long-standing relationship with Inis Meáin, a company we have stocked for years not for trend, but for substance. They work from a small island off the west coast of Ireland, where every piece of knitwear is shaped by the same environment that inspired it. Their garments are not designed for a season, but for a life.
When the subject of a collaboration for AW25 came up, the goal was not to create something loud or experimental. Last year’s navy special with gold-thread buttons resonated because it felt grounded and honest. Rather than chase a new concept, we chose to deepen the idea.
We selected the Pub Jacket, one of Inis Meáin’s most historic designs, once worn by local men gathering in the island pub after work. It carries the presence of a jacket with the ease of a cardigan. For this edition, Inis Meáin agreed to return to their original BAS yarn blend — baby alpaca, silk, cashmere and merino — a composition no longer used in their main offering. It holds shape, softens with wear and is built to endure.
Each piece is made start to finish in their workshop. Panels are knit on Shima machines, linked by hand and finished one at a time. The gold-thread buttons, requested to echo last year’s piece, are sewn individually on a dedicated station, not as decoration but as a quiet signature of our continued partnership.
This is not exclusive by virtue of scarcity alone. It exists only because of mutual trust between maker and retailer. It is produced in small numbers, for those who value clothing that carries a story and improves with time.
